Frosty fruits and strong winners

Booth shows winter hardy Polar Fruits assortment and award-winning Lucky Berry®

When the doors to the world's leading trade fair for horticulture in Essen opens in January, numerous exhibitors from almost 50 countries will present their portfolio again. Just like us, the BCM nursery Christoph Marken, who already convinced our visitors last year with a newly developed stand concept. Also in 2019 we will be focusing on the open and friendly booth. Our motto here is less is more: "We have selected a small, clear selection from the wide standard range, which we will present at the trade fair in a cube shape" Owner Christoph Marken. The compilation of elegant conifers in a golden pot with a noticeable label is likely to catch the eye. This concept of premium conifers includes refined, evergreen and frost-hard conifers that require little care.

Although not golden, but at least as conspicuous presents the successful Lucky Berry® concept. With the 4-month blueberry, we are showing a real winner at the IPM 2019. In two categories, the fruit plant with a particularly long harvest was awarded the Taspo Award 2018 as the best marketing concept as well as the best product presentation at the point of sale. In the spring of 2019, the Lucky Berry® strawberry will hit the market to expand the brand's success. Visitors to the IPM can already get a picture of the eye-catching PoS production with emotional imagery and signal red pot at our booth in January.

Literally cold is our new Polar Fruit concept. Instead of supposedly frosty fruits, the offer includes berry bushes, which can be harvested in summer and extremely frost hardy in winter. The USP is communicated with a large, dark purple label with international sturgeon "Totally hardy" as well as the design: The white snowflakes stand out against the dark background to the viewer's eye. A total of twelve varieties are included in the colorful Polar Fruits assortment - including berry shrubs such as Vaccinium corymbosum, Ribes nigrum and Ribes uva-crispa as well as edible rather unknown varieties such as Aronia prunifolia, Lonicera kamtschatica and Cornus mas. In addition to the particular frost hardiness of up to -35 °, the Polar Fruits offer further ecological and visual benefits. Thus, the flowers of the fruit plants in spring are an important source of nutrition for beneficial insects such as bees, bumblebees and butterflies. The selected variety Cornus mas, Jolico' flowers already in February bright yellow. The subsequent autumn coloring of varieties such as Amelanchier alnifolia or Vaccinium corymbosum sets attractive accents in the bed or in a container.

From 22nd to 25th of January 2019 trade visitors can convince themselves of emotional concepts and frosty fruits at our common booth D42 with our trading company AVS in hall 7.
